Reason for Question

This question is about what level of network access is needed by the vendor's administrators. If all that is needed is a web connection, then even simple, on-premise access to a guest network can be considered. But if it requires connectivity to a highly protected resource (for example, a database server on an isolated VLAN and only accepting traffic from a specific front end), then the vendor's administrators may need to be given access to a datacenter's network. Again, the purpose here is to determine what level of access is the minimum required and what controls to put in place to secure that access.
